Heike Strobel - Artist Biography
Heike's Mom is a Jeweler in Germany. When she was about 6 years old and all of her friends were still stringing plastic beads Heike already got the fine "left-overs" like Baltic Amber, Coral and Jasper from her Mom to string. At age 8 she learned how to knot necklaces on silk thread. Still today her best necklaces are knotted. Heike is a US citizen now and lives in Cerrillos, New Mexico.
