Carol Storms - Artist Statement After 10 years of beading joy I was introduced to Da, a woman from a village in Thailand. She taught herself to bead so that she could teach the people of her village and bring them desperately needed work. I am impressed that she remains dedicated to her village although she now lives in the US. During the times that I was overwhelmed as I started this bead business, Da's concern for her people kept me going. This bead work, made in the homes of the bead workers, is a tribute to the hard work of Da and her people. I am thrilled that the people of Thailand are able to create my unique designs with exceptional quality and durability. May this work bring a smile to you and those who see you wearing it. | |||||
